Celebrities Top 5 Favorite Places to Grab an Iced Coffee (kind of?!)

On a smoldering hot day, with places to go and people to meet, what’s better than a rich and refreshing iced coffee? Iced coffee has become a way of life for teenagers here in South Florida, from Dunkin’ to Starbucks, we can’t get enough. But celebrities jumped on this bandwagon long ago, and it doesn’t seem like they’re getting off any time soon. So where do they go to get a jolt of java? Take a look as I countdown celebrities’ top 5 favorite places to grab an iced coffee!
Ok, so I did my research and found that there was much less of what I was looking for than I expected. The intro up there ^^ is not very accurate. Myself, being an avid follower of everything “famous people”, thought that I would find tons of pictures of tons of celebrities at tons of different coffee shops. But really all I could find was a few Starbucks cups here and there, a couple of Dunkin’ Donuts ones too. But what stood out where these bright purple straws sticking out of a bunch of celebs iced coffees. I found out that these straws belonged to coffee that came from the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, a chain of trendy coffee shops that are located all across the country, with a bunch in L.A. And when I tell you pretty much every celebrity gets coffee here, I mean pretty much every celebrity gets coffee here. Vanessa Hudgens, Lucy Hale, Miley Cyrus, Ashley Benson, Naya Rivera, Scott Disick, Ashley Tisdale, Megan Fox, David Beckham, Hilary Duff, Mila Kunis, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Joe Jonas, Emma Roberts and Shay Mitchell, just to name a few. Reasons why this place is so popular among A-listers? It’s trendy, the purple on their cups and straws makes them look really pretty and recognizable, and as they say on their website "we select only the top one percent of Arabica beans and finest hand-plucked, whole leaf teas” (which I guess means their drinks are delicious). Plus they donate money to and sponsor a load of great charities like Support At Home and Aid Lanka Kids Foundation.

The point is, South Florida prefers orange and green straws, L.A. prefers purple. But no matter where you are, a refreshing iced coffee is right around the corner.

THIS IS NOT AN AD FOR THE COFFEE BEAN AND TEA LEAF/
ICED COFFEE OF ANY KIND.
I’m just letting you know that if you’d like to get a nice iced coffee with some celebs on the side, look out for a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf on your next trip to L.A., you never know who you’ll see :-)

#TeenLinkNeedToKnowAwardShow The 86th Annual Academy Awards

The Oscars. The Academy Awards. Film’s biggest night. Whatever you call it, it’s a pretty big deal. Hollywood’s biggest movie actors were all there, decked out in the finest from Givenchy to Gucci and Prada to Posen. Ellen hosted, ordered pizza, took some “average” selfies, and you know just kinda BROKE TWITTER (no really she did). It was the most watched Oscars telecast since 2005, and the most watched Entertainment program since the “Friends” finale… why you ask? Let’s recap the 2014 Academy Awards.

Best dressed:

Portia De Rossi looked flawless in this Naeem Khan ivory lace gown. The halter-top and detailed lace made the dress uber fabulous and feminine. Even though she is best known simply for being Ellen DeGeneres’ wife, she has a style all of her own. Even though Portia, an actress herself, was not nominated that night, she definitely looked Oscar worthy.

Best dressed couple:

Humanitarians by day, hot couple by night! Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie looked stunning as a pair on the red carpet. Angelina looked gorgeous in an Elie Saab Haute Couture gown, along with 42 carat diamond earrings. Brad looked dapper in his Tom Ford tux and bow tie.  Brangelina strikes again!

Best acceptance speech:

Two speeches definitely stood out among the rest at the show on Sunday. Jared Leto won best supporting actor for his role in Dallas Buyers Club and gave an inspiring speech, thanking his mom and brother and saying “those of you out there who have ever felt injustice because of who you are or who you love, tonight I stand here in front of the world with you and for you.” Such kind words from a newcomer to the Oscars stage. Speaking of newcomers, Lupita Nyong'o, who won best supporting actress for her role in 12 Years a Slave (which snagged best picture) also had some uplifting words for the crowd… and the world. "No matter where you're from, your dreams are valid."

Best OMG moment:

If there was a BeyoncĂ© of selfies, this would be it. Ellen rounded up her favorite celebs to take a star-studded selfie. Smiles galore, the pic was complete with actors Jennifer Lawrence, Channing Tatum, Julia Roberts, and more. Ellen posted the picture to Twitter with the caption “If only Bradley’s arm was longer. Best picture ever. #oscars” The selfie got over 2 million retweets in the first hour of being posted, the most retweets ever of any tweet! Ellen claims that the pic “broke Twitter”, which is actually somewhat true, as the site shut down for a few minutes after it was posted. Go Ellen and her selfie of the century!

Most awkward moment:

John Travolta, in all his plastic faced glory, was ready and excited to introduce Idina Menzel for her performance of “Let It Go” from the animated feature Frozen. But instead of saying her actual name, the only thing he could get out was Adele Dazeem. Seriously? ADELE DAZEEM?! You could almost hear the entire globe simultaneously sigh/hysterically laugh.

Oh and there was pizza… plenty of it. Ellen ordered some for the crowd, and hilarity ensued. Jennifer scarfed down her piece, Leonardo was too nervous to find out the results of his Oscar nom that he simply had no time for food, and Jared was of course a gentleman and gave his slice to his adoring mother. All Jared Leto cares about is school, and his mom, and his friends… well mostly his mom.

#TeenLinkNeedToKnowAwardShow: The 56th Annual Grammys

The Grammys. Music’s biggest night was filled with plenty of bass, bombshells, and BeyoncĂ©. Not only were the biggest artists awarded for their work, their biggest fans were awarded with great performances from them! Lorde was twitchy, Katy was witchy, and Pharrells hat was just waaayyy too big. Let’s recap the 2014 Grammy Awards.

Best dressed:

Chrissy Teigen looked ever so gorgeous in this blingy Johanna Johnson gown. The gold and silver hue of this glamorous dress went perfectly with Chrissy’s light ombre-d hair and minimal jewelry. The slit in the top and bottom of the dress make it even more beautiful, along with the train that was the perfect size for an elegant yet fun award show like the Grammy’s.

Best dressed couple (duo):

Ok so they’re not a couple, but they’re at least a musical duo! Macklemore showed up to the red carpet with his sidekick Ryan Lewis, both looking dapper. Macklemore rocked a teal velour suit with a black bowtie and white dress shirt, while Lewis looked fashionable in a silver hounds tooth suit by Mr. Turk. It was definitely flashy, but I applaud them for taking a fashion risk.

Best performance:

What do you get when you put together a revolving chair, strobe lights, a fog machine, an awesome song, and two talented (and married) global superstars? Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton! jk. Of course it’s Jay Z and BeyoncĂ©! YoncĂ© herself opened the show, tight black bodysuit and all. Jay Z soon joined her to sing the rap bridge of their new single “Drunk in Love” off of BeyoncĂ©’s (amazing) self-titled album. Bey and Jay were recently named pop’s first billionaire couple. But with all money aside, the love they have for each other was eminent on that stage.

Best acceptance speech:

Jay Z was called up to the stage to accept the award for the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “Holy Grail” in which he was accepting on the behalf of both himself and Justin Timberlake (which for some unknown reason was not at the show). Jay thanked various people who helped make the record, along with thanking God for having a beautiful young women in his life, referring to BeyoncĂ©, who was sitting right there in the front row flashing her husband with an admiring smile. He then finished off his speech by saying “and Blue, look Daddy has a gold sippy cup for you.” LOL

#TeenLinkNeedToKnowAwardShow: The 71st Annual Golden Globes

The Golden Globes. It’s the entertainment industries very own BOGO coupon for all of America! Stars from both the film and television world walked the red carpet and speculated from the lavishing (yet tightly packed together) tables at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday night. It was a night packed with big talent and fabulous fashion to match! Let’s recap the 2014 Golden Globe Awards.

Best dressed:

Lupita Nyong'o stunned in this red form-fitting Ralph Lauren dress, complete with a gorgeous cape. Effortless and chic, Lupita, a newcomer to the red carpet, definitely had all eyes on her.

Best dressed couple:

Matthew McConaughey & Camila Alves shined on the red carpet, both dressed in Dolce and Gabbana ensembles. Camila’s sparkly black gown was glamorous, while Matthew’s forest green velour blazer was edgy. They complimented each other perfectly!

Best acceptance speech:

Alfonso CuarĂ³n, winner of Best Director for Gravity, thanked various loved ones and colleagues before cracking a joke about his thick accent and lead actress Sandra Bullock saying, "I want to thank you for not quitting when you thought that I have told you, 'Sandra, I'm going to give you herpes,' when I really meant to say, 'Sandra, I'm going to give you an earpiece.'" (lolz haha hilarious so funny I’m cracking up rotfl)

Best OMG moment:

Co-host and winner of Best Actress, T.V. Series, Comedy or Musical, Amy Poehler, was so overjoyed and surprised that she won, that she turned to U2 singer Bono and made out with him! She was obviously happy about the crazy kiss, continuously mentioning it in various interviews at after parties and even at the very end of the night when her and Tina were saying their goodbyes for hosting this “beautiful mess we hoped it would be!”

Most awkward moment:

This one hands down goes to Jacqueline Bisset, who took home Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries, or TV Movie. Not only did she take 5EVER to get up to the stage, but also took a whole (what felt like) 10 minutes to even start saying anything once she made her way up! She then proceeded to swear and say various things about her mother, Hell, and I think some thank you’s??? Well Jacqueline, I appreciate the effort, as you were obviously shocked to have won, but please next time, grab a brush and write a speech.

P.S. Award shows make me really happy.
